On this special occasion of World Environment Day, we at NHSA (North Hudson Sewerage Authority) had the pleasure of meeting with Keith from Ke Aloha Outrigger to celebrate our shared passion for the Hudson River and explore the incredible work his organization is doing. The Hudson River holds a special place in our hearts, and we were excited to connect with Ke Aloha, the outrigger partner of the non-profit organization Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse. Ke Aloha Outrigger's Mission: Ke Aloha Outrigger is dedicated to igniting interest and facilitating public access to the waterways of New York and New Jersey through exceptional watersport programs and education. Their primary focus is on outrigger canoeing, a sport deeply rooted in Polynesian traditions with a rich global heritage. By creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment, Ke Aloha aims to deepen knowledge and awareness of outrigger canoeing while fostering a strong sense of "ohana," or family, among participants.
