NHSA H6/H7 Hoboken Phase 2 Construction and Traffic Management Activities: March 3 – March 7, 2025

Project Overview
We’re continuing Phase 2 of the H6/H7 Project to enhance infrastructure reliability and improve stormwater management in Hoboken. This work will support long-term system efficiency and reduce maintenance needs.

Key Phases & Timeline

• Week of March 3 – March 7, 2025

• Work Locations:

  • 13th Street between Adams and Jefferson Streets

  • Adams Street between 13th and 15th Streets

Construction Activities

• Working on Stairs, Grating and Prepping for Louvers at the NWRP Pump Station on 13th Street between Adams and Jefferson Streets

• Installation of light pole bases, bollards, watermain and concrete curb and sidewalk work under viaduct at 14th and Adams

Traffic Management

• Grand Street is now opened both ways until the contractor performs the wet tapping valve installation. Estimated ship date for tapping sleeve is 2/27/2024 will arrive beginning of March. Anticipated construction 2nd week in March.

• Adams Street between 13th and 15th Streets will be closed to thru traffic, but open to thru traffic at night.

• HPD officers will be present at all intersections. 

• 24/7 no parking signs will be in place on both sides of Adams Street between 13th and 15th Streets.

• There may be partial impacts to the sidewalks at 13th Street between Adams and Jefferson Streets within the pump station work area.
