NHSA H6/H7 Hoboken Phase 2 Construction and Traffic Management Activities: March 10 – March 14, 2025

Project Overview
We’re continuing Phase 2 of the H6/H7 Project to enhance infrastructure reliability and improve stormwater management in Hoboken. This work will support long-term system efficiency and reduce maintenance needs.

Key Phases & Timeline

  • Week of March 10 – March 14, 2025

  • Work Locations:

    • 13th Street between Adams and Jefferson Streets

    • Adams Street between 13th and 15th Streets

Construction Activities

  • Working on stairs, grating, and prepping for louvers at the NWRP Pump Station on 13th Street between Adams and Jefferson Streets

  • Restoration of granite curb, concrete curb, concrete sidewalk, and bollards under the viaduct at the intersection of 14th and Adams Streets

  • Restoration of concrete curb and sidewalk on Adams Street between 13th and 15th Streets in front of local buildings

  • Contractor will be working on excavation and placement of wet tap at 15th Street between Clinton Street and Willow Avenue, from 3/10/2025 thru 3/14/2025. Contractor estimates one week to perform the wet tap and one week to connect. The connection will take place on 3/17/2025 to 3/21/2025.

Traffic Management

  • Adams Street between 13th and 15th Streets will be closed to thru traffic, but open to thru traffic at night.

  • HPD officers will be present at all intersections.

  • 24/7 no parking signs will be in place on both sides of Adams Street between 13th and 15th Streets.

  • There may be partial impacts to the sidewalks at 13th Street between Adams and Jefferson Streets within the pump station work area.

  • 15th Street between Clinton Street and Willow Avenue will have one-way westbound thru traffic from 3/10 thru 3/14. Roadway will be open to thru traffic during weekends.
