North Hudson Sewerage Authority Weehawken Infrastructure Project Two Week look ahead for 9/23 - 10/4/2024
There will be one crew working at the Highwood Ave Pump Station. The map below indicates the work areas and parking limitations.
Week 1: 9/23 - 9/27/2024
Hamilton Ave Pump Station Crew
Work at the pump station includes site and concrete work within the pump station limits and on the sidewalk. On Thursday and Friday there will be a small amount of work within a manhole on Highwood Ave and within a manhole at the corner of Blvd East and Duer Pl. This work does not include any excavation or machinery. A police vehicle will be stationed at these locations and traffic will flow around the work zone causing minimal to no disturbance.
House Keeping
· No vehicles, equipment, or materials will be stored on the sidewalk or in front of driveways.
· A temporary construction fence has been installed on the sidewalk in front of the parking lot and at the top of the stairs next to the lot.
· Traffic signs to be posted as necessary.
Week 2:
Generator pad sitework and electrical/gas connections to the generator work will continue in week 2.
Upcoming schedule:
All major work outside of the pump station is complete.
Pump station work remaining includes final gas and electrical connections, site work across the pump station lot and generator pad area.
Completed work:
Work has been completed on Blvd East from 700 Blvd East to Hamilton Ave. A new 48” PVC combined sewer was installed along with manholes and new laterals and cleanouts. Highwood Ave is complete, with new stormwater piping separating sewer and stormwater from Blvd East to Hudson Place. A stormwater force main was installed on Highwood Ave and connected to the pump station. Hudson Place also had new stormwater and sewer piping along with new catch basins and manholes. The pump station structure has been installed at the pump station location and the force main connection has been made.
