ACEC NJ EEA Award

We are excited to announce that the North Hudson Sewerage Authority’s (NHSA) Park Avenue Green Infrastructure project has been recognized with an Engineering Excellence Award from the New Jersey Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies.

The Park Avenue Green Infrastructure project included the construction of 10 right-of-way bioswales along Park Avenue in Weehawken and West New York, NJ. These installations collect and filter stormwater at the source. In doing so, they reduce flooding from heavy rainfall, mitigate sewer overflows, and improve water quality. By providing green spaces on city streets, they additionally reduce the urban heat island effect.

This is the second award won by the project, which previously earned a Distinguished Engineering Award from the NJ Alliance for Action.

With this achievement, NHSA continues to lead the way in innovative water management solutions that benefit both people and the environment. The Park Avenue Green Infrastructure project is a testament to our vision of a future where smart, sustainable design helps cities thrive
