Weehawken Boulevard East Infrastructure Project

The Weehawken Infrastructure project’s main objective is to tackle flooding problems in Weehawken by replacing and modifying sections of combined sewer infrastructure. This project involves upgrading portions of the sewer system on Boulevard East, Highwood Avenue, Hudson Place, and Hamilton Avenue with new piping, manholes, catch basins, and a new underground pump station. The upgraded infrastructure will take more rainwater off the streets, and convey it to the treatment plant. The successful completion of the project will reduce flooding and enhance the infrastructure’s resilience against more frequent and intense storms.
