NHSA Grand Street Interceptor and Pump Station Feasibility Study - Traffic Management Week of 10/30/23

Please find the traffic plan for the soil boring work we have planned.  A written description of the work and the traffic management can also be found below. 

 

Monday, 10/30/2023

  • Craig Testing will be on-site with a drilling rig to take a soil boring (B-7) at the southwest end of Grand Street where it meets 2nd Street.

  • Grand Street between 2nd street and 3rd street will be closed to through traffic between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

  • One lane on Grand Street will be maintained open for local traffic only.  

  • A uniformed police officer will be present to direct local traffic around the construction work.

  • Several parking spots at the southwest end of Grand Street where it meets 2nd Street will be closed by the Parking Authority for the day, to allow the construction work to be performed.

 

Tuesday, 10/31/2023

  • Craig Testing will be on-site with a drilling rig to take a soil boring (B-6) at the northwest end of Grand Street where it meets 2nd Street.

  • Grand Street between 1st street and 2nd street will be closed to through traffic between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

  • One lane on Grand Street will be maintained open for local traffic only.  

  • A uniformed police officer will be present to direct local traffic around the construction work.

  • Several parking spots at the northwest end of Grand Street where it meets 2nd Street will be closed by the Parking Authority for the day, to allow the construction work to be performed.

 

Wednesday, 11/1/2023

  • Craig Testing will be on-site with a drilling rig to take a soil boring (B-5) at the southwest end of Grand Street where it meets 1st Street.

  • Grand Street between 1st street and 2nd street will be closed to through traffic between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

  • One lane on Grand Street will be maintained open for local traffic only.  

  • A uniformed police officer will be present to direct local traffic around the construction work.

  • Several parking spots at the southwest end of Grand Street where it meets 1st Street will be closed by the Parking Authority for the day, to allow the construction work to be performed.

 

Thursday, 11/2/2023

  • 1st Street between Jefferson street and Adams street will be closed to through traffic between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

  • One lane on 1st Street will be maintained open for local traffic only.  

  • A uniformed police officer will be present to direct local traffic around the construction work.

  • Several parking spots at the northwest end of 1st Street where it meets Jefferson Street will be closed by the Parking Authority for the day, to allow the construction work to be performed.

 

Friday, 11/3/2023

  • Craig Testing will be on-site with a drilling rig to take a soil boring (B-3) at the northwest end of 1st Street where it meets Madison Street.

  • 1st Street between Madison street and Jefferson street will be closed to through traffic between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

  • One lane on 1st Street will be maintained open for local traffic only.  

  • A uniformed police officer will be present to direct local traffic around the construction work.

  • Several parking spots at the northwest end of 1st Street where it meets Madison Street will be closed by the Parking Authority for the day, to allow the construction work to be performed.
