NHSA H6/H7 Phase 2 - Construction and Traffic Management Activities
Anticipated Construction Activities and Traffic Management for the NHSA H6/H7 Phase 2 project for the period 12/18/2023 through 12/22/2023 is as follows:
Construction Activities
Test Pitting relating to the proposed Force Main installation at intersection of Adams Street and 13th Street.
Test Pitting relating to the proposed Force Main installation on Adams Street between 13th Street and 14th Street intersections.
Soil Sampling at intersection of Adams Street and 13th Street.
Soil Sampling on Adams Street between 13th Street and 14th Street intersections.
Traffic Management
o Detour signs on Adams Street at 13th Street and 14th Street intersections.
o Necessary parking spots shall be blocked off by the Parking Authority before Construction Activities begin.
o Local, northbound traffic shall be directed by police officers in the area of Construction Activities.
o Periodic lane shifts and/or lane closures on Adams Street at the 13th Street and 14th intersections. OEM will assist with traffic flow at this intersection for any closures
o Periodic lane shifts and/or lane closures on Adams Street between 13th Street and 14th Street. OEM will assist with traffic flow at this intersection for any closures.
o Per OEM request, both 13th Street and 14th Street intersections will not be closed at the same time to allow for northbound traffic.
o There may be partial impacts to the sidewalks, however, safe passage for pedestrian traffic will be provided at all times.
o Parking will be removed from 7 am – 5 pm between 13th and 14th.
