NHSA H6/H7 Phase 2 - Construction and Traffic Management Activities 12/26/2023 thru 12/29/2023

Construction Activities and Traffic Management for the NHSA H6/H7 Phase 2 project for the period 12/26/2023 through 12/29/2023 is as follows:

Construction Activities

• Test Pitting on Adams Street between 14th Street and 15th Street intersections including the intersection of Adams St and 14th St.

• Test Pitting on 15th Street between Adams Street and Clinton Street intersections.

• Soil Sampling on Adams Street between 13th Street and 15th Street intersections.

• Soil Sampling on 15th Street between Adams Street and Clinton Street intersections.

Traffic Management

• Detour signs on Adams Street at 13th Street and 14th Street intersections.

• Local, northbound traffic on Adams Street shall be directed by police officers in the area of Construction Activities.

• Periodic lane shifts and/or lane closures along Adams Street and at the 14th Street and 15th Street intersections. OEM will assist with traffic flow at this intersection for any closures.

• Per OEM request, both 14th Street and 15th Street intersections will not be closed at the same time to allow for northbound traffic. 

• Necessary parking spots shall be blocked off by the Parking Authority before Construction Activities begin.

• Roadwork and lane shift notification signs shall be installed on 15th Street between Willow Avenue and Madison Street to alert drivers of the construction in the area.

• Periodic lane shifts on 15th Street as required to excavate the test pits. Lane shifts will be marked with traffic cones and OEM will assist with traffic flow in the area.

• There may be partial impacts to the sidewalks, however, safe passage for pedestrian traffic will be provided at all times.
